Richard Blue is a Melbourne based artist and writer who, when not photographing cups of coffee as part of his upcoming exhibition at Collingwood Gallery for the Melbourne Fringe Festival, can usually be found sitting in a cafe somewhere drinking coffee.
He also takes photographs of cars and flowers and letterboxes amongst other street things and runs a photoblog called driftscape which is updated daily.
Drawing his inspiration from everyday surroundings and activities, Blue is best known for his self portrait blog The Tie Project. He took a different self portrait wearing a different tie every day for a year, with the titles being as playful as the photographs.
